Two weeks before leaving for college at UWRF where I was going to major in Art education, I bailed. I decided I wasn't ready to go to school for another 4 years. I took several courses at BACC and later got a degree in Travel and Tourism. When I was 21 I joined a direct selling company called Home Interiors & Gifts and found this type of career was my niche. I was able to be self employed which was very motivating for me. I stayed with this company for 14 years and was one of the top sales people in the company. In 2002 Home Interiors sold 51% of the corporation to an investment company and I found myself very unhappy with the changes that were taking place. In 2004 I was introduced to another direct selling company called Silpada Designs and I decided to make the switch which is one of the scariest and riskiest things I have ever done. I am still with Silpada Designs and in 2006 was awarded #1 in personal sales in the country. In addition to my personal business, I train for Silpada corporate and manage a sales team of about 100 women. Making that change has proven to be a smart move and I love what I do.
