I went to PCC from 1989-91 then on to Florida Southern. I got involved with the Highland City Fire Dept about the same time. I worked as a 911 operator dispatching Polk County Fire and EMS for 5 years. I met my wife Dawn in the 911 center and we were married in 1998. A few weeks after the wedding I went to work for the American Red Cross in Winter Haven. In 2003 I accepted a position with Manatee County Emergency Management. We lived in Bradenton for 1.5 years and I commuted for about 1.5 years (and I thought gas was high then!). I started back with Polk County Emergency Management in 2005.
