After taking an inordinate amount of time to finish my undergrad; this including getting married and having my first kid, I spent one full semester teaching at Central High for Mr. Kirkindol who ended his tenure mid semester.

Unfortunately, this teaching stint ended quickly when they needed to hire a coach who could also teach. So I decided to get a Master's degree which I completed in December of 2008 in Higher Ed administration. Through this time, I worked at LSU as the Audio/Video Coordinator of the Center for Computation and Technology. Now, I am a teacher at Westdale Middle School to an interesting bunch of kids. I'll start my PhD in the fall of 2010 and hope to be a high-browed professor before you know it.

Does anyone remember the Christian High-school Movement? We were the ones who wore fatigues and marched through the halls carrying Christian flags and blowing shofars - and leading prayer in the outside area most mornings.

Ahh - the joy of young fervor. What you may not know is that the club was actually started when Tyler Mayo, Jason Ross, and myself stayed up till 2 or 3 AM under a streetlight writing a novel that would become the CHM charter. Perhaps this explains our eccentricities.

Secondarily, I always enjoyed the fact that I played in the one section of the Marching Band that got to watch everyone sweat it out during band camp while I flirted with my High-School girlfriend at the time. You know the whole saying - "Remember that time in band camp?"
