ATTENTION! PANCAKE BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER!

The Ryan family will be having a pancake breakfast fundraiser. Barry's brother, Mark Ryan, has been diagnosed with a rare disease called psuedomyzoma peritonei or PMP for short. This disease usually begins in an organ. After attacking the organ, mucus spreads into the abdominal cavity where it begins to attack other organs. It often develops into cancer if undetected. Under a microscope, cells will not appear to be cancer but PMP is just like a cancer. There is no cure. The only treatment option is surgery with chemotherapy. This procedure is known as the "Sugarbaker." Mark has also been asked to participate in a clinical study. This study will allow Mark to not only help future PMP patients, but he will benefit as well should the disease return. Mark is currently at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center where the surgery has taken place and where the study will take place. Funds raised at the pancake breakfast will assist Mark and his family with medical expenses, but will primarily be used to assist them during the clinical study. The study will require six trips to Pittsburgh, which will be an expense out of their pocket. The breakfast will be at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church - Bedford, Indiana. Church is located on the corner of 13th & M street. Saturday, December 13th from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. If you are unable to attend but would like to donate please PM me or Barry Ryan.
