Retired now. Living outside of Bryan on 28 acres with house, trees, pond, barn, prairie grasses. Still like to go with Burney (my Jeep) primitive camping, kayaking, rock climbing, and traveling all over. Part of an archaeological dig for Clovis peoples in Florence, TX and active with Armand Bayou Nature Center in Bay Area Houston. I've added Woodturning to my activities and am learning all about tractors and how to manage my land and 5 longhorn heifers. Country living is great!! Still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but whatever it is---it will be fun.


Looking for a second home in Bryan/College Station area--little farm house on some land with trees and a pond. UPDATE: Found the home and have moved to Bryan. 28 acres, lovely little house in the woods, pond, horse barn, cows and deer roaming through. I'm a farm girl now-- overalls and all.

Riding to school in Hortense (Model A or T) when I only lived a block away.

One year a group (you know who you are, but willl remain nameless) "borrowed" the Lamar Indian and he showed up on the BHS stage at the morning Pep Rally. The administrations were NOT amused. The next year when the curtains opened on the stage at the pep rally, instead of a big, fat Indian, there was Ralph Coatsworth (tall, thin)sitting cross-legged with a feather in his head . The whole auditorium laughed and clapped. The administration was probably amused, but never said so.

Also, the Belles senior trip was to New Orleans. We toured the French Quarter with the Dean of Women at the head of the line of girls all dressed in bright red, and Mr. Burns, Asst. Principal, took up the rear post. As few of us stayed back with him. All the doors to the "establishments" were closed to the masses. But, Mr. Burns and his small group of girls got great views of what was going on inside. We had to keep Mr. Burns moving or he would have still been there getting an eye full. My how times have changed!
