As I remember, Dave was killed by a school bus while on the planning committee for our first reunion.  He lived around the block from me even in elementary school and was a great guy.  I remember his smile.

Dave took me on my first car date and gave me my first "grown-up kiss".  He was my boyfriend in 9th and 10th grade.  He was a fantastic dancer.  We had such fun dancing - we would practice in my living room on Cascade Street in Bellaire.  We always had a special place in our hearts for each other, even after going in such different directions.  I am thankful that I got to see him at our reunion planning meeting just before his accident.  He was a great guy.  I know he would want to be with us at our 50th Reunion.  I'll be thinking about him and missing him as we all get together.

So sorry to hear about Dave's early death.  He was always smiling and so much fun, full of smart comments and teasing.  What a nice person to have had in our class!

What a shame that we've lost Dave.  About 10 years ago, I looked him up in an Aggie alumni album and found that he was deceased.  Have wondered until now how he died so young.

He became one of my "best buds" after our 1st meeting at the bus stop when we started junior high at Pershing.  Dave was a great guy and a bit of a rascal..."stealing" the girls' purses, teasing, lighting cherry bombs in the back of the bus.   I still remember dancing with him at the "Snowflake Ball" at Pershing in 7th grade and thought that it was so cool that every year he and some of the other guys in our class participated in a cattle drive from somewhere around A & M to Houston.  I imagine that lots of the girls had a crush on him, as I did, because of his great smile, his athletic build and fun-loving personality in addition to being a really nice, young man.
