God has been very good to me. I have a wonderful husband, Mike (Penn State "74"). We have just celebrated our 30th anniversary this past Jan.21. We have been blessed with two fine sons (Mickey -U.of Fla. "2001" and is now the Asst. Property Appraiser of Okeechobee Cnty. and Steve -U.of Fla. "2002" currently self-employed and farming in Pennsylvania). Mickey and Lori(8th grade U.S. History teacher at Yearling Middle School) were married in Dec. of 2004 and are expecting our first grandchild in Nov. We are very excited about this blessed event. I went back to school after many years and graduated from Univ.of Central Fla. (Class of 96) with a degree in Elementary Education. I later added Primary Education and Middle School Math to my degree. I am currently in my 13th year of teaching. I teach 6th grade math at Yearling Middle School and I love it! When I am not in school, I can probably be found on the farm in Pennsylvania (just outside Easton/Bethlehem Pa.) Our youngest soon, Steve, farms there, growing tomatoes, bell peppers, cabbage, squash, pumpkins, and alfalfa/timothy hay. When we do our hay (which is shipped to Ft. Myers, Fla.), my job is to run the baler while Mike and Steve run the two balewagons. On my days off from the farm, I can be found touring the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside, sightseeing in New York, appreciating our historical past in Gettysburg or Philedelphia, or simply sitting in my chair, sipping peach tea, and enjoying the company of my family. Life is short, my advice to my classmates or anyone else who might read this is to (1) love your family every chance that you get, and (2) last but certainly not least, know where you are going to spend eternity when you draw that last breath. I know that I do because I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. If you are only sure of one thing in this life, make sure it is where you are going to spend eternity. This current world as we know it is simply temporary. My e-mail address is sylviabandi@gmail.com. If you ever want to talk, I will be glad to share what God has done for me and my family.
