Kathy Scheffler Phillips

Still in Belle Glade. Can't seem to
get the muck out of my toes.
I have been at Sugar Cane Growers for 4 years
working in Purchasing Dept. with Julian
Sanchez as my boss. (Small world)
Went to computer programming, but did
not go into that field. Also took
Accounting I - (while working for Southern Gardens)
I went to work at South Bay Growers in 1970 til
1974, worked for Thompson Sales (produce broker)
for a year and a half. Worked at the Ford Place
for 4 years and then back to South Bay Growers
til 1994 when it closed down. I went to work for
US Sugar in Dec. of 94 til April of 96.
I worked at Southern Gardens a subsituary of US Sugar and work there till 2004, when US Sugar started eliminating jobs. I applied here at Sugar Cane Growers and have been here ever since.
Boy I sure would love to retire!!!
