After graduation, I went to Bradley University, joined Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, and graduated with majors in English and Ancient history. I began teaching at Washington High School in Washington, IL. In 1968, I moved to Aurora, IL and taught in the West Aurora School District for 26 years.
My husband Bill and I were married in 1978. Bill was also a teacher and coach in West Aurora. We took early retirement in 1994. I retired and worked for the public library in Aurora until 2009. Bill worked for AXA advisers in Chicago.
Bill and I both enjoyed golf, and I enjoy also reading, long walks, and exercise at the local gym. We had 2 great dogs, Tika and Gozno – (both mutts).
Bill was diagnosed with cancer in 2009 & died in 2010.
I have a stepdaughter Kimberly, who lives in Florida with her husband, Mike.
