I was so sad when I read today about Carol's passing.  She was my girlfriend in the 8th grade and we remained friends for many years.  When she was a deputy sheriff with San Mateo County Sheriff's office we would run into each other in the Hall of Justice.  I would be in a suit going or coming from a court appearance  on the second floor and Carol was in uniform.  We would always jump into each other's arms hugging and greeting each other.  We did not care if people stared at a sheriff deputy in uniform hugging a man in a suit.  We had a loving relationship and always enjoyed running into each other.  I also had gotten to know her mother from when Carol and I were in grammar school.  Her husband Art who I met while he was a deputy and when he and Carol became a couple I was very happy for them both.  They were perfect together.  My heart goes out to Art and Carol's children and grandchildren and I will keep them all in my prayers.  Rest in peace dear friend. Love Phil

My heart is so sad hearing about Carol.  What a great person and she had a perpetual smile on her face!  Always felt so good to be around her.   My deepest sympathy to Art and her entire family.  I remember talking with her years ago at the last reunion...they both were so happy and of course we talked about  our careers...."police stuff".....she was a fantastic Deputy.   They ran a successful Investigation business together as well.   Rest in Peace dear Carol...you will never be forgotten

I was so sorry to hear about Carol.  Carol, her mother, and her sister Joyce were so good to me at a very difficult time in my life and I've never forgotten it.  My condolences to her family.
