It was so good to have time to really talk last night. Your trip to Egypt has whetted my appetite for middle east travel.
George and I chatted on Linked In before our 50th reunion. It was good to catch up. Jim Rhodes and I dated during our sophomore year, and George seemed to be with us on most of our dates, so I had a chance to see his musical and his funny side - way different than the George I was used to seeing in class. I was impressed with all the interesting pursuits George managed to squeeze into his time on this earth - the biggest surprise to me during that recent conversation, although it shouldn't have been, given his interest in geology, was how much time he and his wife spent hiking and climbing in the Sierras. Another gem lost to us.

Happy birthday, Nancy!
Hi everyone, I attended a meet and greet in Santa Cruz last week, and stayed to hear our classmate Delaine Easten speak. A two-term State Superintendent of Schools and former Legislator, Delaine is running for Governor. She has a great platform, and the experience to carry it off. What she doesn't have are name recognition and money. I hope our California classmates will take the time to visit her web site and contact her campaign staff to find out when she will be speaking near you. Bumper magnets can go a long way to getting her name out there; financial support will help her move up in the polls. If you agree with what Delaine stands for, please support her. We've never had a woman governor in California; isn't it time we did? www.delaineforgovernor.com
