From folk dancing at Beloit (and being a history major), I went straight to Law School (U of PA). It's where I met my husband but I do not recommend going straight through the way I did. Mark and I both wound up doing good in government--at the US Securities and Exchange Commission. It felt really good and we had a great DC life. But life after the SEC meant being a corporate lawyer--which I did for about 12 years in Philadelphia (as a part time partner at a lovely small firm). Enough of that career--I then stayed home with the rambunctious children, trying to figure out the next step. It wound up being in the field of religion--as an inter-faith chaplain, working first in hospital settings and now with seniors at a social service agency. I've become the person I was meant to be--it just took me several decades to figure it out.

Greg--our paths almost crossed over the years. We were in DC working for the. Securities and Exchange Commission (I met my husband in Law School) and then we moved to Wilminston, De and ultimately near Princeton, NJ. Husband Mark lived with the Oglala Sioux as a VISTA volunteer--before my time--but I feel a real connection to his experiences and, by extension, yours working for Indian Legal Services. I somehow changed my life from corporate/securities lawyer to interfaith chaplain. Hope you'll be hanging around the folk dancing on Saturday. I'm can only come up to Beloit for the day. Cheers! Beverly
