Welcome
to the Class of 1973 50th Reunion Website
The Class of 1973 celebrated our 50th Reunion on campus at Beloiter Days last fall. With great attendance from our class, we added to our shared Beloit experiences with conversations and laughter about the pleasures, challenges and growth we have experienced since we left campus decades earlier.
On a beautiful fall Wisconsin weekend, we enjoyed multiple events, including attending classes, the homecoming parade, alumni assembly, the Class of 1973 dinner and the donning of our Golden Hoods, watching the Bucs take on University of Chicago at Strong Stadium, dinner and dancing in the Powerhouse, and finishing up with a memorable ceremony in Eaton Chapel to remember those we lost over these fifty years. It was an unforgettable time together.
Beloiter Days weekend provided an opportunity for Beloit alumni to relive their college experience while embracing the many changes and challenges students, faculty and staff experience today. One clear difference from fifty years ago are the challenges the college faces today with decreased enrollment, meeting students' needs and expectations with fewer means, and creating strategies to meet these challenges. The struggles Beloit College faces today provides opportunities for all Beloit College alumni.
The Class of 1973 heard from President Eric Boynton about the strategic pathway the College is embarking on, set to address the challenges. Our class, determined to make a difference, set a goal to raise $300,000. While lofty, we are excited to report that the class goal of raising $300,000 was generously met!
The Class of 1974 and those that follow with their 50th Reunion will look to our giving in an effort to meet or exceed our goals. We welcome their contributions in the future and should celebrate the contributions both our class and all others raise to support our beloved alma mater. We greatly appreciate everyone's financial support and interests in seeing Beloit College continue to provide an in-depth liberal arts education to students today and well into the future.
Your gifts are impactful and we hope you continue to support beyond our fiftieth celebration. While our fiftieth celebration is behind us, the financial needs of the college will continue. We encourage you to support Beloit College today and into the future.
