The "big three" of my team as the Support Operations Officer (SPO) for the battalion and Stryker Brigade Combat Team I'm a part of. From right to left, my Noncommissioned Officer-in-Charge (Master Sergeant Darren Nixon) and my Deputy SPO (CPT Josh Peeples). Taken in the month of August while we trained for war at the Army's National Training Center near Barstow, California.

August 13th, 2010, despite Morgan being over four months old, it was the first time I held her. My only hope is that both she and Monica forgive me later in life for missing part of their childhood.

Graduating from the Army's Command and General Staff College in December 2009---an awesome school to attend and graduate from as it brought perspective and balance to our lives.

In late-2008 while serving in eastern Afghanistan as a Logistics Advisor embedded with the Afghan National Army, I participated in one of my last named operations as a captain. This one, a 28-day mission near the Pakistan border, was one of the most humbling experiences of my life that I'll never forget nor will anything be able to replace the bond established with the eight great Americans I was there with.
