I went to Houghton College in 1976 but left in Dec. '77 when my financial aid ran out. I returned to Bennington and worked at C.B. Sports for three years, during that time I met my husband, got married, got pregnant and quit CB Sports in 1980.In 1983 my husband walked out and I divorced him in 1984. For the next several years I was a certified respite worker with Social Rehabilitation Services and worked specifically for my brother and his wife, who were foster parents. During those years I remarried and had two more children. This was an excellent job for me, a dedicated stay-at-home mom, because I could bring my children to work with me when I had to.
In the nineties I moved on to singlehood (a rocky four-years of torture), moved on from the foster care business (burnout) started therapy, worked at Grand Union for a few years, hooked rugs for MacAdoo Rugs and returned to college. I graduated cum laude in 1999, the same year my daughter graduated from Mt Anthony.
