What have I been doing since 1974? Getting smarter, and enjoying who I am!

I have been the instrumental music teacher at Vergennes Union High School for 30 years - yikes! The various ensembles, music classes and annual musical keeps me very busy. I even teach a World Drumming class, which is great fun. I still play my french horn and trumpet whenever I can.

I love to hang out with my family, travel ( I finally went to Eurpoe two years ago!), quilt, bake, and play with the grandchhildren. I direct the Vergennes City Band on Monday nights on the green in Vergennes. Come to Vergennes and hear a great concert!! My fellow MAUHS band members would be welcome to play with the VCB!!

Being a teacher in a 7 - 12 school, I am often reminded of my wonderful experiences at MAU. High school is still about finding where you fit in with your classmates, but kids (at least in Vergennes) are more accepting of the differences between people. As teachers, we work very hard for kids to embrace diversity. Now I can tell them how wonderful it is to see your classmates at high school reunions!! By the time you get to #35, the playing field is level, and you are just happy to see everyone, hug, share your life stories, and hug some more!
