Please forgive me for trespassing on this web site. I did not graduate from MAUHS, but I attended public schools in Bennington until July 1970, when my family moved to Florence, South Carolina. Hence I went to grammar and junior high school with many of you who graduated from MAUHS in 1974. I remember my time in Bennington with great fondness, and I am grateful to Stephanie and Cathy for giving me access to this web site so I can see how all of you are doing.
Since leaving Bennington in 1970, I lived in Florence, South Carolina until 1978. I graduated from West Florence High School in 1974 and from Francis Marion College in 1978. I did my doctoral work at the University of Kentucky and received my Ph.D. in political science from UK in 1984. I was a faculty member at Georgia State University (in Atlanta) from 1982 to 1985. We moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1985, and I have been a professor in the Department of Political Science at Louisiana State University since then.
In 1982 I married Pam Monroe, who I met my senior year at Francis Marion College. She received her Ph.D. in Child and Family Development at the University of Georgia and is a currently a professor in the School of Social Work at LSU.
