After graduating from Mount Anthony, I attended Southern Vermont College and then went on to nursing school in Worcester, Massachusetts. I married and had six wonderful children. Despite being an accomplished mother, after 25 years my marriage ended. Little did I know, however, that on the opposite end of the country, someone who loved me in high school and college was still thinking of me and looking for me. It had been nearly 30 years that we had last been together. To make a long story short, I called him and he said he had always been in love with me. Well, we were reunited and after a year long bi-coastal romance and several back and forth cross-country flights later, I brought Jim Edmundson hog-tied back with me from Alaska to Worcester. We were married in 2005. Shortly after, we moved to nearby West Boylston. Here I work as a registered nurse. We enjoy our country home and having our lives enriched by my children. Life is surprising and delightful. And as James Taylor sings it, “the secret of life is enjoying the passage of time….try not to try to hard; it’s just a lovely ride.”
