After HS I went to Ohio Univ. for about 2 years but began to wonder "what's it all about"? I dropped out and came back to the Cleveland area for a short time then moved to Boston to nanny for my older brother's son. From there I did some deep soul searching and ended up getting involved in Transcendental Meditation (TM). With my goal of enlightenment I soon moved to Northern Ca to pursue a deeper connection to the knowledge and experience of TM. I took trainings with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Mallorca and Switzerland over the next few years and for a few years came back to Cleveland and taught about 600 people to meditate as I had been fully trained by Maharishi. I met and married a fellow TM teacher in Cleveland. We moved with our daughter to Fairfield, 25 years ago as there was a community and campus related to the TM teaching in Fairfield, Ia. After that we raised my oldest daughter and we gave birth to her younger sister. My former husband and I divorced when the youngest one was 3. As a single mom I got serious about developing my career. I already had a bachelors degree, from credits I had earned along the way. I pursued a Masters Degree in Social work at the Univ. of IA. For the last 17 years I have been working in the counseling field throughout the area.
