Let's see. I left Berea in 1986 (right before 11th grade) and moved to Virginia with my aunt (my mom thought it would be good to get me away from some of the partying, yeah right!) I fell in love with Prince Charming and was on my way back home once my mom figured out my aunt was not much better! When I got back here in 11th grade, I was really far behind in all subjects. I would have had to take the 11th grade over and then I would have graduated with my brother's class! I couldn't let that happen, so I dropped out and went to cosmotology school. That didn't last long and I got a job traveling around Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York opening new telemarketing offices. I was back in Ohio by 1988 and although Price Charming was still the love of my life, I was pregnant. So while all of you were having fun, having parties, bonding, preparing for graduation, and having tons of fun, I was planning how to get back to Virginia, get married, and have a baby. I had Alyson a week after you all graduated. (Yeah, I found out price charming was so charming, but about two years later!) I went to secretarial school at Polaris in 1990, got my GED, and got a job with Cleveland Scholarship Programs as an administrative assistant. I moved up to development assistant, and met price charming 2. I continued to move up at work and started classes at Tri-C. By 1993, prince charming 2 moved out and I was continuing my education at B-W. I was full-time work and full-time student -- didn't have for much else. I met my husband (prince charming 3) in 1995 and got married in 1995 (at least I have terrific kids!). Left CSP and B-W. Had Megan in 1996 and went back to school. Graduated from B-W in 1999 -- once again pregnant at graduation (walked for degree in June, Matthew born in October) 2000 Went to work managing mentally retarded group home in Berea! Loved it, hated being on call 24/7, left 2003. Went to work for manufacturing company as person #2 in the accounting department. This is when my dad first started getting sick and I had to do a lot of taking care of him. Left the job in 2004 after my dad's second car accident in one year. Went to work managing Pizza King for about 2 months until I figured out the only people being paid were the delivery drivers (they kept their cash from deliveries). Found out I was pregnant January 2005! At 35!!! How terrible!!! Mason was born (after 36 hours of labor!) by emergency c-section. He was in the NICU for 3 weeks which I thought would kill me! (Luckily I was so drugged, it went by quickly!) I have spent the last 3 years trying not to watch my mother gloat so much because I finally got the child I deserved! (Yeah, I know, he's only 3 1/2!) I have two red-heads and haven't decided who is going to be worse -- Megan or Mason! In November 2007 my father pretty much lost his mind. Although I promised I would never do this, he had to go into nursing home care in January 2008. I also discovered my husband and I were splitting up right after Christmas when I realized I had just invited his mistress over for Christmas dinner! (Yeah, he should receive the husband of the year award!) I had a very difficult few months and was therefore in a much calmer state of mind (yeah Xanax) when my father passed in April. I spend most of my free time now volunteering at church. Oh, yeah, and being a single mom! I spend my days now getting the kids off to school (can't understand why we need a summer vacation!). Emailing, meeting, messing up something at church, and, oh yeah, trying to explain to a 3 1/2 year old why nice boys don't say those words; or why it is ok to put a plug in an outlet, but not keys; or why Red from "That 70's Show" can call Eric a dumbass, but he can't call Matthew that; or, one of my favorites, why it is not a good idea to stand on the stove to put the ice cream in the microwave because he is "ungy" and wanted to cook it himself! (I have tons of them, and this is just with Mason!) Oh, I almost forgot -- trying to tell my daughter Megan that instead of her texting me from her bedroom, I would rather talk to her! I know I missed so much during those last 2 years at Berea, but have really enjoyed looking at all the photo's! (I discovered this website through finding a picture of Shane Scott on myspace. I have to say how thankful I was to find out this was not a recent picture of him! I thought these kids had really taken a toll on me!) Want more details, just send me a message, I occassionally enjoy expanding my vocabulary beyond "I SAID NO!")
I have to say, I am a better, more appreciative person from the life I have lead. (I just really hope my kids don't follow in my footsteps!)
