Paul passed away in the fall of 1989. I found out about it when I was in my freshman year at OSU. I was in the process of writing a cheezy freshman composition story about how he pulled me out of Rocky River after I got stuck on a log at the train tressels. Can't believe that was almost 20 years ago.
I wanted to pass along information I received from Paul's family surrounding his death. Paul was preparing to enter the US Air Force in April 1990 when he died of an undiagnosed heart condition. There have been hurtful rumors surrounding the cause of Paul's death for years but there was no trace of drugs or alcohol in his system.
Not a high school memory, but every day in homeroom (in the home ec room at Roehm), Paul took one bolt out of the table..and in a few weeks there was a new table when we came to homeroom. I bet that teacher was suprised when that table came down! We miss you.
