I grew up in Berkley as did both of parents and all of my family. After 7th grade we moved to Pinckney (near Brighton), where I graduated in 1976

After I graduated from Pinckney High School, I got a job at the University of Michigan, Mott Children's Hospital as secretary for the anesthesia department. I met my husband while working there. We got married on Feb. 3, 1978 after having to post pone the wedding for a week due to the Blizzard of 1976 happening the day we were supposed to get married.

We went on to build our family through the adoption of 10 beautiful children, who came home from all over the world. We also did foster care for several years. My husband retired from the State of Michigan, Dept of Corrections 7 years ago. We still have children in school..so we are busy keeping up with them.

We have four dogs...2 cocker spaniels, a goldenr retriever and a yellow lab.

I love to watch my kids in whatever sporting event they are participating in. We still have a daughter in fourth grade, 2 sons in seventh and ninth grade and a daughter in eleventh grade. Our boys especially are involved in sports...football, travel basketball, school basketball, travel baseball, golf and track! We spend miost of our time involved with them.

I was an only child but Ron Cowles who graduated in 1976 from Berkley also, is my cousin and his sister Teresa Cowles Sullivan is just a few years younger.
