Claire Alexandra Smith Wnek

Since Graduation from Whitman I obtained a BA in Public Communication and minor in Juvenile Justice From The American University. I attended Colby Sawyer college for 1.5 years, interned with the Robert F Kennedy Memorial Center for Human Rights and the Supreme Court of the United States. I have attended Johns Hopkins University for graduate level classes in HR and numerous professional seminars and courses. I have been employed in the Human Resource field for 15 years - 4 years with a private telecommunications firm as Director of HR and 11 with Manpower (the staffing firm) in Branch Managment.
In 1996 I married John Wnek and we have two boys ages 9 and 7. John is employed by GE Hitachi Nuclear (Headquartered iin Wilmington NC) in Supply Chain and I currently work part time but still for Manpower. John relocated to Wilmington in February 2008 and we followed in June. With a year under our belts in the South - I am pleased to say we LOVE living at the beach! We still have our home in Bethesda so the ties are still tight.

Ahhh - I reminice often. There are so many parties and moments that pop inito my head - sharing a locker Junior year with Perry Fowler, Andrew, Gene, Bart, Wally, Kirk etc ... - the antics therein, numerous afternoons and evenings with Nelle Grauel (Flanders), all the great friends and good times so very many BUT above all Lewes DE and Beach week blow them all away!
