Walt Whitman High School Class of 1972:

How time flies!! 2022 marks 50 years since we graduated from high school -- and that’s something to celebrate. A reunion committee is in place and actively planning a fun event to bring us all together. Please mark your calendar to be in Bethesda the weekend of Saturday, October 15. More details about our reunion are included below. 

PRELIMINARY REUNION DETAILS

The main reunion event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Rock Creek Mansion (https://rockcreekmansion.com/ - You can also view a video of this site on the Walt Whitman High School Class of 1972 Facebook page). This estate is in Bethesda at 5417 West Cedar Lane (20814) -- near the corner of Cedar and Old Georgetown. It’s across from NIH and very close to the Bethesda Marriott at Pooks Hill, where we have a limited number of rooms blocked at a very reasonable rate. The link to book those rooms will be shared soon. We’re also planning some add-on events, so if you’re coming from out of town, please come early and plan to stay at least until the following afternoon.

1.       MISSING CLASSMATES

Because we no longer have access to contact information collected for our 40^th reunion, we are starting from scratch this year. If you received this e-mail, you are one of only about 200 classmates for whom we have an e-mail address. With a class of over 750 students, that leaves a lot of people still not located. We hope you can help. If you have contact information for any of the people on the attached Missing Classmates list, please hit REPLY ALL and let us know what you know, or please share our e-mail addresses with them and ask them to contact us directly. Only Reunion Committee members will have access to this information.  

2.      DECEASED CLASSMATES

Unfortunately, we’ve lost too many of our classmates over the past 50 years. Attached are the names of those we know about. Please let us know of others so we can remember them as well. Also, let us know if we have made a mistake and put someone on the Deceased list that is very much alive! This happened once before!

Wow, 88 classmates have joined our site :) but only 7 of you have responded to our survey :(.

We want to hear from you! We are still planning the activites for reunion weekend and it would help to understand the level of interest in each activity and any comments you have. So please weigh in now!
