I served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, then in the 11th Special Forces Group. I was exposed to Agent Orange and other toxic chemical testing, and wound up having a career ending injury on what was my last tactical jump. I finished college at night, got my CPA and had my own practice for many years, specializing in entertainment and sports. Eventually my injuries caught up with me and I lost two years as a zombie. I finally began a slow recovery, and founded Vets-Help.org in 2007. We just teamed with Rockingham Racetrack in NC to take it out of foreclosure so we can use racing as a very effective tool for PTSD remediation for vets and their families, and build a major reintegration camp complete with assisted and independent living, industries, disabled centers, and a medical and wellness complex to counteract the debilitating effects of the toxins we were exposed to as soon as possible after military service so lives and families are not ruined by those exposures. We are teaming with the racing industry and others for grassroots outreach, partnerships with the White House, IRS, etc. We are low key and pay no salaries. We are teaming with technical training groups to turn out extremely capable workers/technicians, etc. Anyone who wants to help a lot of people with a low key approach can holler at me. We are never bored, have an extraordinary group of talented core personnel with great reach, we do a lot of good and enjoy doing it.
I was extremely upset with Alice Gast - she instilled horrendous policies for the students, including my son, and refused to take responsibility for her ill-advised Gestapo techniques. They resulted in many of Rick's legacy friends families refusing to give to the school any more contributions, which is exactly what I warned Gast of, as well as the Board. She refused to even return my calls. I was happy to see her leave.
