Jon Griffin

There are SO many good times and memories. I attended Lehigh from 1971-73 before transferring to SUNY Cortland. I loved fraternity life (too much?) and being a Delta Sig, I recall the Lafayette games and the two times I obtained a piece of goalpost in the after game melees-during junior year actually having to chase a Lafayette fan into their section at Fisher Field after he grabbed it out of my hands and during sophomore year escaping Taylor Stadium with my prize while my best buddy Steve Nowick ran interference, actually duking it out with another fan. I still remember running down W. Packer Ave. back to Delta Sigma Phi with our prized souvenir held proudly in the air!

After leaving Lehigh I finished my Bachelors at SUNY Cortland and obtained my Masters and Certificate of Advanced Study in Counseling at the University at Albany (SUNY). I retired from the City School District of Albany in 2006 after serving as a counselor and Director of Guidance. I then worked as a counselor at Pearl Counseling Center in Albany, doing individual and group counseling with clients referred from the criminal justice field (county,state and federal parole and probation) until retiring (again) in 2013. I have been married since 1983 to Barbara and have two wonderful daughters, Beth and Emily.
