Russell Angwin

I attended Eastern Montana College for one year.
I enlisted in the Army in October, 1969 for three years. After training in Fort Lewis, WA, Fort Sill, OK, and Fort Leonard Wood, MO I spent a year in the 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam. Since I still had over a year left on my enlistment I volunteered for Germany where most of my fellow soldiers with six months left to go were sent, I was sent to Fort Mammoth, NJ. At least it was an area I had not been to often and the East Coast and New York were a fun place for a young Montana boy... The Race Riots in that time in the 60s proved very interesting also.
After the Army I returned to Billings and married Pat and had three Sons. I worked for the Montana Department of Transportation from 1971 through 2006. It was a great job and I loved the opportunity of doing many different things & operating lots of different equipment. I started as "Tire Man" and retired as a Field Maintenance Supervisor of the Billings Division.
In 1974 I joined the Seabees (Navy) Reserve. I was able to do lots of traveling in the U.S and Islands in the South Pacific. Loved scuba diving in Guam... I retired from the Navy in 1994.
I have always enjoyed traveling, the great outdoors, motorcycles, scuba diving, boating etc. and included my family as much as possible.
I divorced in 1998 and then married my Junior High (Lincoln) and High School friend Judy Stark (Class of 66) in 2000.
Judy and I both retired at the end of 2006 and we both love retirement. We never seem to have enough time for all the things we enjoying doing,,, and as you all know, it doesn't take much to keep us "Old Farts" busy, But "Life is Good".
Judy and I both enjoy good health and we try to make the most of every day because we know that health and situations can and do change. We are looking forward to seeing our High School Friends this September and again next year when Judy has her 50th reunion.
