Sharon (Sherry) Ehli Thompson

I was married to Loren in July, 1966, at First Congregational Church, and in 1967 we moved to Winnett, MT, where he taught high school. While there, all 3 of our kids were born. The last three years we were there, I worked for Petroleum County as the Deputy Treasurer, Deputy Clerk of the Court, and the Deputy Clerk and Recorder (it's a very small county!). Loren was instrumental in creating and setting up the combined school and public library there. I loved our life in Winnett and I met some life-long friends while there. Thanks to Facebook, I can still remain in contact with many of them.

In 1975, we moved to Roundup, where Loren became the first librarian of the combined school and public library there. I worked at Montana Bank of Roundup for 12 years, for the last several years I was the Cashier of the bank. From there I worked at the Roundup Medical Clinic and First Security Bank. There again, I met some life-long friends with whom I remain in contact. All of our kids are graduates of Roundup High School.

In 1996, we returned home to Billings. Loren worked at Parmly Library until he retired in 2007. I worked at First Interstate Bank as a loan processor, until I was offered a position with Ehli Group (Big B Bingo), which my dad founded and operated. There I did the bookkeeping, payroll, etc. I retired in 2011. Since then I have been volunteering for AARP Tax-Aide, preparing taxes during the tax season.

My mom past away in 2004 and my dad in 2006. My sister, Mary (Class of '66) past away in 1986. My remaining siblings are Patty Bradshaw, Claudia Ehli, Dee Dorman, Mark Ehli, and Nick Ehli.

I have maintained some close friendships with some of our classmates, Sherrie Heimbuck Murray, Rondel Janich Smith, Kathy Nitschke Cypher, Carolyn Kahler Rukavina, and Roseanne (Kay) Weber Modde. We meet every few weeks and have a fun time together. This summer we spent a weekend in Lewistown and rode on the Charlie Russell Chew-Choo, and have been to some pretty hoppin' restaurants in the Billings area.

Every where we have lived we were active in our church and it's there that we made some of the strongest relationships of our lives, including our relationship with God.

We have seven pretty wonderful grandkids. Our son, Greg, is married to Angie. They live in Ording, WA and are the parents of CJ, now 14 years old. Our oldest daughter, Kim, is married to Brian Sorenson. They live in Billings and are the parents of Emily (20) and Tess (17). Our daughter, Carrie, is married to Jon Molitor. They live in Havre, MT and are the parents of Noah (14), Nick (12), Landon (9), and Lynsie (6). We are so grateful for our family--they give us much to be proud of!
