Lee (Leroy) George Bell, 71 of Billings, passed away following a medical procedure on May 27, 2021. Lee was born in Billings to Philip and Gladys (Kaiser) Bell on October 27, 1949. He enlisted in the Marines and served in Vietnam, getting shot 3 times before being honorably discharged with 2 Purple Heart Medals in 1969. Lee was a member of the Painters Local Union and worked as an Industrial Painter for many years. He did a lot of work painting the large tanks at area refineries. Due to medical issues related to his time in Vietnam, Lee took early retirement in 2010. Lee married Susan Trusty on August 2, 1999. Together, they enjoying doing Bump N Run’s where Lee and Susie were both drivers. They traveled all around for competitions. He was an avid hunter and was always there for the opening day of elk hunting. He also enjoyed fishing with his brother Wayne. Together, Lee and Susie gutted their house down to the studs and rebuilt it. . They were very proud of this accomplishment. He loved tinkering around the house doing odd jobs. Lee is survived by his wife Susie Bell on Billings; daughter Lindsay Bell-Martinson; step-children Sydne Williamson, J.J. Bacon, Krishna Thorson (Jamie Gehring) and Brian (Ashley) Thorson; sisters Phyliss Bell, Mary Ann Harper, and Linda Plovanic, sister-in-law Rayette Bell; and grandchildren, Piper Bell, Preston Martinson, Macy Williamson, Colter Bacon, twins Madison and Aden Gehring, Cooper, Camryn and Carter Thorson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Wayne Bell and brother-in-law Bob Plovanic. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2021 at Cremation and Funeral Gallery.
