I would like to honor Wally Persoma who was a very good friend and neighbor. He served 2 tours in Vietnam and one in Khe Sahn. After returning home he became a police officer and then a detective as well as a diver for the Billings Police Department. While assisting in the recovery of the body of child who had drowned in the siphon that runs under the Rimrocks, Wally almost lost his life. He was a very brave and courageous man. Wally also wrote a book about his experiences in Vietnam and about his career serving the Billings Police Department titled, "From the Mountains of Montana to the Rice Paddies of Vietnam, Memories by SSgt. Red, 40 Years of PTSD." I thank his Wife, Sandy, who gave me a copy of the book. Rest in peace my good friend, your greatly missed and will never be forgotten.
