"The muffled drum’s sad roll has beat
The soldier’s last tattoo;
No more on Life’s parade shall meet
The brave and fallen few.
On Fame’s eternal camping-ground
Their silent tents are spread,
And Glory guards, with solemn round
The bivouac of the dead."

Theodore O'Hara

RIP Marine, you are not forgotten.

While resurching Charles Boyer and Dave Anderson, I learned they had intered the service with the budy systum. I also did not relize they were on the same flight that was shot down. Thank you both for you service, and along with all service personal, you will never be forgoten.

I want to thank and salute Chuck for his sacrifice and willingness to fight for his country. You are a true American hero and my condolensces go out to your friends and family. I also did not realize, or had forgotten, that he and David Anderson entered the Marine Corps on the buddy system.

I want to honor Charles for giving his life in the military for us.  I am overwhelmed by how young you and others were.  You paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we can have freedom.  I am deeply moved by the reality of the price you paid.
