Bruce was the quintessential nice guy. In spite of having a high profile father at BSHS, Bruce lived his own life out of the shadow of Mr. Moerer. One look at our senior yearbook indicates he was involved in everything. But most of all, he was a good friend. I remember senior year Bruce, Dave Gorton and I decided to try our hand at making dandelion wine. I can’t remember if it was any good, but we sure enjoyed breaking the rules! Bruce’s death falling off a ladder while cleaning his chimney at home in Helena was tragic.   He died too young!

I remember Bruce as a rock solid guy. His dad, Mr. Moerer (Ralph) who I enjoyed taking geometry from, cast a big shadow but Bruce never let it overshadow his goals. I just remember Bruce as unassuming, friendly, athletic, studious, and hardworking. His death was so unfortunate and he left this earth oh so young. I thank him for his service as an officer in the Air Force during Viet Nam. My condolences to his friends and family.

The others comments made about Bruce are of course right on. What an unforgettable person, Mr Hard Work and Sincerity. What a shock and tragedy that he died the way he did.... I really liked his Dad as well, our track coach at BSHS.  My condolences to his family. - Jeff
