Randolph Hill

Randy Hill, a beloved family man, Vietnam veteran, staunch supporter of veterans, and an avid outdoorsman, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024, at the age of 76.

Randy was born and raised in Billings, MT, where he developed a deep love for his community and country. He was the proud son of a World War II Army veteran who served in the European theater, instilling in Randy a profound respect for military service from a young age. Following in his father's footsteps, Randy served with distinction in the Vietnam War, earning the Army Commendation Medal for his bravery and dedication. His service was a testament to his unwavering commitment to his nation and comrades.

After returning from Vietnam, Randy dedicated many years to his trade as a pipe fitter. His skilled hands and diligent work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. His contributions to the industry and his community were significant and lasting.

Randy was also an avid fisherman and hunter who loved spending time outdoors, immersing himself in nature. Whether casting a line in a tranquil stream or tracking game through the forests, he found peace and joy in the great outdoors.

Upon his retirement, Randy focused intensely on supporting Combat Veterans of America. He devoted much of his time to volunteering for various veterans' organizations, providing invaluable support and camaraderie to fellow veterans. His efforts in retirement reflected his enduring commitment to those who served, making a lasting impact on the veteran community.

Randy was married twice, cherishing the bonds he built with his families. His legacy is carried on by his four children: Melinda, Randy Jr., Joshua, and Sundance. Inspired by their father's independent spirit, each of them has forged their own path in life, embodying the values of strength, kindness, and dedication to family.

Randy will be remembered for his warm heart, his stories of adventure and service, and his unwavering support for his loved ones. His spirit and values live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Randy will be laid to rest in Columbus, MT, in a family plot alongside his mother, father, and brother, Larry Hill. A private celebration of Randy's life will be held by the family.
