My heart is broken with the passing of Jan Cahill.
It was his support and tremendous drumming that allowed my first band "The Wanderers" to become know in Billings in 1966. He gave me musical life that has lasted 56 years now.
I did play with great bands, including "The Frantics" & 'Whitehorse" with Motley Crues' Mick Mars, But it was that first band with Jan that started everything. Without that start I would have not had a career and probably no Motley Crue would have happened. You were one of my best friends of all time and I will miss you. Thank You and may god bless you. Jan; Happy Birthday! I tried unsuccessfully to reach you on the phone, But know you will catch this. It seems like just yesterday we were in the "Wanderers" together.
But yet 1966 is a ways back and even the "2016" reunion is 3 years back! Time may fly but I will always have fond memories of being in that band.
I always hope to go back to Montana more but it's hard to escape LA!
I do wish we could play again. Happy Birthday my friend for always! David Day
