Before having kids, I taught preschool, Kindergarten, and First Grade. Currently, I stay home with my kids, but have been doing some freelance writing from home. It works great because I submit my work by email. BUT I usually get up around 4:30am because it's the only uninterrupted time I have to write. I am writing short books for ESL students who are learning English. Cambridge University Press is the publisher. The books go along with an ESL textbook they publish (aimed at kids in other countries who are learning English). I've also had several stories published in several children's magazines.
Otherwise, I enjoy reading,visiting the library with my kids at least twice a week, working out in our yard, and helping with my daughter's Daisy Girl Scout troop.
