Mrs. Brenda G. Love, Mar. 22, 1957 - Oct. 21, 2013  Brenda Love went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 21, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Dorothy Edwards of Birmingham, Alabama. She was baptized in 1961 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Birmingham. She graduated from West End High School and attended Jacksonville State University. Brenda was employed by Brookwood Medical Center for 15 years. The devoted loved ones left to cherish her memories are: husband Michael; two sons, Brandon and Michael; a step-daughter, Sabrina Macintosh; two grandsons, Christian and Christopher; one brother, Ronald (Arnika) Edwards; two sisters Carla (Daun) Butler and Wanda Edwards; her mother-in-law, Lucy Stokes; and four brother-in-laws, Ronnie Love, Willie (Alfreda) Love, Daryle Stokes, and Alan (Pat) Stokes; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and very special friends. Brenda trusted God, and she was thankful to Him daily for his blessings. She believed in His Son, Jesus Christ, as her Lord and Savior. Brenda treasured her family, who loved her deeply. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter, a wonderful caregiver to her grandparents, the late Eugene and Rosie Love, and a loving and supportive sister, aunt, and friend. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, October 26, at 1:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Birmingham, Alabama at 132 6th Avenue South. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Family Hour will be Friday, October 25, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Davenport and Harris Funeral Home at 301 Martin Luther King Drive, Birmingham, Alabama. - Obituary
