Rubin James Duff, December 20, 1950 - October 7, 2010 PHENIX CITY, AL— Rubin James Duff affectionately known as "James," 59, 1501 Summer Place Dr., Phenix City, AL, passed away October 7, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM EST Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at M.L. Harris United Methodist Church, Columbus, Georgia with Rev. Earl James, Pastor officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens with visitation today from 1-8 PM and a family hour from 6:00-7:00 PM according to Taylor Funeral Home. Mr. Duff was born December 20, 1950 in Butler, AL to Essie Mae Turner Duff and the late James Duff. He was a retired construction worker. He was a member of St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Duff is survived by his mother, Essie Mae Duff; wife, Cassandra Weeden-Duff; four sons, Jamal Duff and Jarvis Duff both of Phenix City, AL, Germaine Bennett and Fredrick Bennett of Birmingham, AL; three daughters Urina Bennett, Melinda Bennett and Tewquilla Bennett all of Birmingham, AL; seven brothers, Eugene Duff (Joanne), Bennie Lee Duff, Arthur Lee Duff, Mizell Duff, and Domark Duff all of Butler, AL, Roy Lee Duff (Shetella) of Meridian, MS, and Rev. Samuel Duff (Gloria) of Bellamy, AL; four sisters, Mary Belle Jackson (Pete) and Elsie Rene Duff-Johnson (Willie C.) both of Butler, AL, Creola Duff-Young (Richard) of Meridian, MS and Lora Duff-Brothers (Samuel) of Greenville, MS, and eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
