Lela George Levert

Lela George Levert, 79, passed away November 1, 2013. She was the daughter of Rev. Will George and Mrs. Lela Bufford George. She was a graduate of Wenonah High School, Miles College and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Mrs. Levert was a retired Educator and Guidance Counselor. She was married to Johnnie (Jack) Clarence Levert for fifty years. They were parents of one daughter, Gina R. Levert. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 12 p.m. at Greater St. John Baptist Church, 2401 Carlos Avenue S. W., Birmingham, AL. John Henry Williams, Jr., D. Min is officiating. Burial: Elmwood Cemetery; Bushelon Funeral Home directing.
