Retired from Jefferson County School System in 2005 with thirty years of service. Returned to school at Samford University prior to retiring, and earned a degree in Paralegal Studies. Retired from the Alabama Education Association.
In 2013 I served as Campaign Manager for Kenny Jackson, who was a candidate for the Birmingham School Board. 2016 I am serving as Campaign Manager for Judge Debra Bennett Winston, a candidate for District Civil Judge. Also at the present time, I am serving as the Chairman of Centennial celebration for Wenonah Grand Alumni, who will turn 100 years old in 2017. Currently serving as Campaign Manager in the Wenonah area for Judge Everett Wess, a candidate for Probate Judge, Place 1 for Jefferson County. Currently working for Judge Debra Bennett Winston in the Bessemer/Jefferson County Judicial Division. Began this job in 2018.
Actively working with the Wenonah Grand Alumni Association; Previously served in the capacities of: Chairman of the Scholarship Committee, Business Manager, Program Chairman for Alumni Activity. Also, served as Chairman of the Centennial Celebration for the 100th birthday of Wenonah High School. Was awarded the "Alumni of the Century Award" for service rendered for the Centennial Celebration, in December 2017.
Former Vice President of the East Brownsville Neighborhood Association. and Secretary to the Brownsville Neighborhood Community Board. Member of the Jefferson/Shelby Chapter of Alabama State University. Secretary of Peace Baptist District Association Matrons and Corresponding Secretary of the Peace Baptist District Assn. Is in the process of writing my 5th book. Started
Was elected President of Wenonah High Grand Alumni Association, March 2022
Since my last profile update, I have started to write another book, which is my passion. This would be my fifth book. I have written 3, however, none have been published yet. Book # 4 is incomplete, and of course book # 5 is project in progress!
Hey classmates, I celebrated my 70th birthday on December 28, 2023. Didn't do anything special. Simply celebrated myself by enjoying lunch with my family! GOD is good!!
