Thomas James Witt was born on April 29, 1918 in Livingston, Alabama to the union of Martin Witt and Elisa May Witt and died in Athens, Alabama on August 28, 2001. Thomas was married to the late Fannie Cain Witt. Thomas graduated from State Teachers College in Montgomery, Alabama and employed as a Principal for the Alabama Board of Education.
