Paul Griffin Goodwin Sr. was born om July 4, 1922 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to the union of William Lagrange Goodwin and Emma Brown and died in Sacremento, California in 2000. The entire Brown family migrated from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham and Paul graduated from the public school systems of Birmingham and enlisted in the United States Army after graduation.
