Wayne "Buz" Wingert, 51, of Salt Lake City passed away on September 24th, 2012. He was born on February 4th in Detroit, Michigan. Raised in Franklin, Michigan.
Wayne attended Groves High School and the University of Utah. He worked in the physics department at the University. Lover of dogs, especially Airedales. Wayne was an avid skier and outdoorsman.
He is survived by his father Wayne and stepmother Choux.
I'm Wayne "Buz" Wingert's companion for the past 2 years. Buz worked at the University of Utah's Physics Lab Dept. for 30 years. He moved to Utah to ski and man could he ski! He was fast, smooth and dynamic. He skied like he lived. Buz lived life on his own terms. He treasured his dogs and adored the Airedale Terrier breed. His last dog Gretchen was a joy to him. Buz was extremely generous to those he loved. He had a very nurturing spirit and a quick wit that I admired. He is survived by his father and step mother from Rochester, MI. Buz chose to end his own life at the age of 51. Only he can answer why. I hope he has found peace. Patti
