That old adage, of time flies when you are having fun, is very true!

Life is good! We live in Lakewood Colorado - beautiful!

We married 3 years ago, and are fortunate to have had great careers and much fun in life! We both retired in 2023 - the fun retirement journey is amazing!

Most recent fun was graduating from the Colorado Clown Academy - my clown name is bubbleUp - I plan to be a caring clown and volunteer at children’s hospital to put smiles on kids faces - maybe adults too!

I also graduated from the FBI citizens Academy - with a goal to get educated on key issues such as cybersecurity, mass shootings, Senior fraud, human trafficking, and such - with this knowledge, I will educate family, friends, community to prevent them from falling into any of this common pitfalls in Colorado.

Barbara worked in the energy industry - with a focus on environment and policy. Thomas is in the Agriculture industry with international marketing his focus.

The days at BHS, UND, University of Denver all created a life long passion for education - Barbara serves on several boards that focus on education - including Colorado Chamber of Commerce, 4H Foundation and UND Executive Engineering Advisory Board ( four years of pain paid off with CHE degree).

Barbara traveled a good deal of the time within the US to address carbon/climate policy issues and environmental regulatory issues. Much time was in DC regarding climate legislation and interfacing with policy makers and regulators on upcoming environmental rule makings. Business at home was managing a great professional staff of engineers, scientists, lobbyists, and policy professionals. The most significant transition in energy is ongoing at a fast pace. It was exciting to be a part of leading the energy transition. One challenge is to keep the lights on with reliable Enery sources as our nation and world moves to close coal use the United States...major impact to ND and western states! The US transmisison infrastructure must grow to support renewables and integrating wind and solar into our system.

Tom and I enjoy traveling and have been going to various places in the south during the winter. We play golf whenever we can and belong and travel to golf destinations. I enjoy cycling in CO - only in the warm months.

Over a period of 9 years Barbara trained and competed in triathlons in Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. I have met some wonderful athletes and love the culture! I completed my 20th TRI in 2020 and hung up the TRI gear!!!

BHS halls were full of life - many stories to be told - good people - good times!
