Ann Richardson (Henderson)

Ann Richardson Henderson, 42, of 332 E. Elm Street, Penn Yan, N.Y., died Friday, June 23, 1995 at her home. Ann was born December 1, 1952 in Washington D.C. and was the daughter of Cmdr. John D. and Elizabeth D. Knowles Richardson.

She was a graduate of Blacksburg High School, Class of 1970 and was active in the Women's Athletic Association. She was also a graduate of Emory & Henry College in Virginia, Class of 1973 with a B.S. in Sociology. She was employed as Housing Coordinator with the Yates County Housing. Ann was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Women of the Moose in Penn Yan.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Richardson of Blacksburg; a son, David (Brad) Henderson of Great Bridge; a daughter, Katie Elizabeth Binko of Penn Yan, N.Y.; beloved companion and partner, Allen C. Bishop of Penn Yan, N.Y.; sister, Lt. Cmdr. Kathryn Martinson of Winter Park, Fla.

Friends may call at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Penn Yan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bradford D. Hunt officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials are requested to be made to the American Cancer Society, the Penn Yan United Methodist Church or the Ontario-Yates Hospice.
