SHERMAN Janis A. December 23, 1951 - July 24, 2018

Janis A. Sherman, 66, of Blacksburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 24, 2018. She was born in Radford, Virginia on December 23, 1951. She was preceded in death by her father, James Robert Sherman; her mother, Amy Sherman Johnson; her sister, Carol L. (Winky) Sherman. She is survived by her stepfather, Charles A. Johnson; her brother and sister-in-law, Lamont A. and Sandi Johnson, all of Blacksburg; special and devoted friends, Chris and Donna Eads, Sherry Phillips; special cousin, Teresa Sherman Brown; and numerous nieces; nephews; and cousins; one aunt, Lillian Jones; and one uncle, Leon Sherman. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Blacksburg Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Parker officiating. Her request was no visitation at the funeral home.
