Like most of you, I still can't believe it's been 20 years already. I do have to admit when I look in the mirror today, its not the youth I once was, so perhaps thats the telling tale.
After getting out of the Marines in 1993, I lingered around looking for my nitch, before getting back into government service. I've been truely blessed with my career path which started in the Marines, on to becoming an Immigration Inspector in Lynden, transferring to Vancouver, Canada, getting promoted up and into a new position in Seattle, WA and finally in 2005 moving back to Blaine, but doing what I was doing in Seattle.
March 2009 was 16 years government service thus. As they say, I'm comitted now. In 2005 when I was transferred back to Blaine, we bought a place on one acre in Custer that keeps me busy in the evenings and weekends when I'm not shuttling kids all over the place being Mr Taxi driver.
Shannon and I will have been married 19 years this next December.
It is truly amazing how fast time goes by. I'm very much looking forward to seeing all of you.
As some others mentioned in their comments, many of us started kindergarden together. I really need to find that picture of Mrs Griffons class in 1975 for prosperity sake.
