I'm with you Milan.  Wonderful time tonight at the reunion.  Thanks to all of the committee that put it together.  Special thanks to Gene and Melody.  You two did  a terrific job.  Enjoyed your music Robert T.  All the speakers did a great job.  Sheila you worried for nothing.  You did great.  Looking forward to seeing all of you again in 5 years.  Sharon Brown Leach

Has anyone gotten a final count of attendees for Saturday night?

09/26/11 02:47 PM #96

Donna Marquardt (Dearth)

Milan, My count for the name tags was 175, 110 of those who were classmates - a pretty good number out of our total class members.  Of the 175, 7 were guests (Mr. & Mrs. Bowers, Mr. & Mrs. Holzhauer, Miss Selk and you and your wife).  There were 3 persons that I know of who came but had not signed-up to attend (not included in the 175 number - 1 was a classmate) and 2 who signed-up but were not in attendance.   There may have been more who came without registering and more who did register but did not come.  I don't know who has the official count.  Thanks again to you for all you have done in helping locate some of our classmates and for your contribution to the site itself.

Jeff, I stand corrected (and corrected my response, I did).  Thanks to you for all your help with the reunion program.

Is there any way to blow up our 50th reunion pic...we all look like little ants....haha!

Sheila, I've tried to make the picture bigger, but couldn't.  Try to download it to your desktop and then increase the size.

Donna and Sheila, I have downloaded it to "My Pictures" and at that point, it's easy to zoom.

Great job to all our classmates who helped organize this reunion.

All aspects were well run and appreciated by those in attendance, and the web site surely has been appreciated by those who couldn't attend.

Well done!

Bob

Linda Buttry (Roberts)

Gosh, you guys did really good just before the reunion. Reading your names is a real blast from the past. I was 2 years behind you guys, but I remember a lot of you. Do you all remember the Buttry girls? Barbara was one year older than you and Dolores was one year younger than you. Poor Mr. Baker had 9 years of Buttry girls in his homeroom--Barbara for 3 years, then me for 3 years, and then my younger sister Marcia for 3 years. Good memories.

We are starting to plan our 50th reunion for 2013. Be sure to let us know what you liked and what you thought didn't work well for your reunion. We always have a "in memory" ceremony for our classmates who died so early. Maybe Anna Burris remembers the huge doggie bone cookies I passed out at our 45th reunion.

Hey Gene how about those St Louis Cardinals?

If any of you are having problems posting pictures and have IE 9, this may be your solution. It worked for me. I wrote to Class Creators and here is their answer:

Milan,

This usually happens because of changes that Microsoft put into the latest IE9.

Try selecting the "Tools" menu on the upper portion of your browser window (ALT-T). If you don't see "Compatibility Mode" there, then select "Developer Tools" from the menu. If you do see "Compatibility Mode" click on it to enable that feature, and it should fix the problem.

If you've clicked "Developer Tools" then look for the text that says "Browser Mode:" and click on that. It should bring up a menu on which you can click "Internet Explorer 8" to fix the problem. The page will reload, and then you can close the Developer Tools portion and go back to using your site.

Even if they are my favorite team the 6th game was the best game I have ever seen! I still can't believe what I saw! It's great to be a Cardinal Fan!

Donna Marquardt (Dearth)

Jack Dearth and John Dearth (avid Cardinal fans) agree that the 6th game is the best game they have ever seen - and they have seen a lot of games!

Why not send a page with Carolyn King's profile and pages of ALL the reunion pictures on them for people to tuck into their book?   I understand Carolyn was very upset.  Sheila

Happy Thanksgiving to the Class of 1961. I am currently helping the Class of 1962 find missing classmates. I guess I enjoy this too much. :)

Milan, Blessings to you and your family on this Thanksgiving Day!  You certainly were a great help in locating many  of  our 1961 classmates.

Sorry to see we lost John Haughawout. We were friends in the National Guard and fellow medics. We would have a garbage can party for the medics at the end of summer camp. We'd pour anything we had left in one big container and John furnished the Everclear. He was one of the good guys. God bless John and family.

I love the photo of Hubbard's Cupbord.  I lived across the street from it in high school and stopped there almost every day after school for a coke or fries.

I'm SHOCKED to find out that John Haughawout passed away.  I sat across the table from him at our last breakfast of the reunion in Sept.   He appeared to be in excellent health and looked great.  I'm sad for all of us as his classmates and especially sad for his family.
