60th Reunion Update

A decision has been made to not have the Friday Night gathering at the Ozark House.  It will be Saturday Night, October 1st at Bloomington Country Club and Sunday morning for anyone who wants to attend Breakfast can meet at Shannon's.  Hope to see you there!

These are two different pictures taken during Dollar Day in downtown Bloomington.  The first shows all the people waiting outside  Livingstons for a bargain.

The second one are people gathered around Penney's front door.

The picture below was of  Nierstheimer  Drug Store which was on North Main Street.  When they went out of business they had things in the store which had been there many many years.  I'm not sure if they auctioned them off or not.

This is a picture of Capodice & Sons which was located on South Madison Street.

I found this picture of downtown Bloomington and it's when the Interurban was in its prime.  I noticed the B.F.Goodrich sign and wasn't it on Center and Monroe Street?  This looks like it was taken looking  East on  Monroe Street but I'm probably wrong, just thought it was interesting.

Barb,  You are correct on the Interurban direction.  It came in on Market St, came up the hill on Center, and your picture shows it has turned on Monroe, and as you notice tracks in foreground are turning south on to Madison.  

The picture you posted a few weeks ago on Capodice Produce was the Interurban ticket station for Bloomington, many years ago.
