This is a picture I saw on another site today.  It was called Elmer's  Corn Crib and was located on North Main just South of Empire Street, does anyone ever remember seeing it?  The only one I can think of was the one located East of the Castle Theater and I believe he just sold popcorn.

I came across this picture of Laurence Rust car dealership and have no idea where it was located, anybody know?

I may have show this picture before but it gives you an idea of all the businesses that were located on North Main, it was a thriving area!

The picture below was taken looking West at the corner of Main and Washington and it shows a good look at Walgreens.  In later years the upper portion of the building has been turned into Condo Units and I've been told they are really nice.

This ad from the 50's really grabs your attention, look at the prices of the cars!

We now have the 60th Reunion Information on the Website.  You have to be logged in and you can register on it but if you prefer to use the form which was sent to you that's fine.  You'll notice on the Classmate Profiles an entry which says 60th Reunion.  If you click on that the names of the people who have already made their reservations show up.   I'll be updating this as more come in.  I'd also like to add, if any of you sent in your form saying you wouldn't be here then want to change your mind and come, just let me know by Sept. 1st and we'll get you signed up. Also I want to thank Suzie Gross Kiesewetter from the Class of 63 for her help, without her it would never have gotten done.

I failed to mention that you can sign up for the Reunion on our Website.  On the Home Page you will note on the left hand side it says 60th  Reunion.  If you click on that it will take you to the form you need to fill out and then you mail your check to me.  It's very easy to do and your name is automatically added to the list of people who are attending.  However, if you want to use the form we mailed out that's fine.

Question.......was anyone friends with Elizabeth Jones from our Class?  There was an Elizabeth "Liz" Diane Jones who passed away this past week but it says this lady was born in 1945 and she graduated from University High School.  Her parents were James and Anita Jones.  She had been living at Heritage Manor in Normal for the past ten years.  Her interests  were painting and taking art classes.  I'm just curious to know if anyone knew the family, someone thought she lived on Florence Avenue.  This is the picture which was in the Pantagraph.  A friend who had U High yearbooks could not find her in there.  Please let me know if you know anything.
