I haven't been on the website for months - my dear mother's passing among other family issues. I have actually spent a lot of time in Bloomington the past several months helping my mom. Thanks for the post on her passing, Milan; we will miss her, as she was definitely the anchor for my family for most of our growing up ( widowed at 30 with 4 kids under 10). However, I would not have wished her  any more suffering. It is really great to see all of the messages that have been posted. I have reconnected with some long lost friends since we have had the website, and have personally hunted down my dear friend, Jeanne Shaffer Olofson in Effingham.

It was a great reunion, and the old pictures of Bloomington that have been posted are fun. When we are in Bloomington, we love to go to Beningo's or Lucca's, even though Casella's in long gone. I am hoping to get to a breakfast later in this Spring.

Patti

This is a message from Jim Wilson:

It sounds like it is going to be a good breakfast. Please order me 2 over medium with hash browns. If I don't make it give my breakfast to the skinniest former class member. Jim Wilson

This morning when we had breakfast at Shannon's we were discussing the pictures that were taken at the reunion but have never been posted on this web site.  I know there were cameras being used and I feel like the pictures should be shared.  Also the subject came up about using the message forum.  My thinking is people are afraid to comment on anything for fear of being considered a big mouth or know it all - at our age who cares!  We have a great opportunity here to "voice our views"  and its a shame if we don't use it.  Everyone has made their first million (laugh) and this is a chance to talk about life in general.  I hope we will utilize this forum.

I have a lot of friends and that makes me feel rich. The Class of 1962 has treated me great and I feel like one of you. I think as people get more used to coming here and relax, they will respond more. We didn't grow up with computers and some of us are still adapting. We do need pictures.

Folks, just get on here and tell us what you are currently doing. I was planning to golf for the first time this season but we got rained out.

I didn't see Jim Wilson at breakfast. Who was the skinniest person who was supposed to eat his breakfast?  Come to think of it, I don't remember seeing Jim at the reunion either. :)

Milan,

You asked that we post what we are currently doing, so here you go.  After reading the posts made today by both you and Barb, I am sitting here on pins and needles waiting for someone to post pictures taken at the reunion.  I never thought about taking a camera with me and would enjoy seeing some of the pictures that were taken.  I’m sure others would also like to see them.

By the way, the monthly breakfasts at Shannon's have been fun and I would encourage others to attend when they can.
